Fish baked with cheese and spinach

Juicy white fish fillet baked under a delicate cheese and spinach cap is an excellent option for a light dinner.

This fillet is prepared quickly, and the result will exceed expectations - the cod is incredibly juicy, the ruddy cap stretches appetizingly and adds sophistication and novelty to the dish.

Ингредиенты

Cod fillet - 500 g

Onions - 100 g (1 pc.)

Fresh spinach - 150 g

Hard cheese - 150 g

Mayonnaise (or sour cream) - 2 tbsp. spoons

Vegetable oil - 30 ml (2 tbsp. spoons)

Salt - 0.5 teaspoon (to taste)

Ground black pepper - 1/3 teaspoon

Ground oregano - 1 teaspoon

1. I used cod fillet, but you can use any white fish. Thaw the fish in advance. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.

2. Cut the peeled onions into small cubes. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.

3. Heat vegetable oil (sunflower or olive) in a frying pan and fry the onion over medium heat until translucent, 3-4 minutes.

4. Cut fresh spinach into medium strips (or squeeze frozen spinach out of its moisture) and add to the onions. Fry for another 2 minutes, stirring.

5. The spinach will greatly decrease in volume, become soft and moist - remove the pan from the heat and cool the contents.

6. Combine fried spinach with onions, grated cheese, mayonnaise and ground oregano in a bowl. Stir.

7. Place cod (whole fillet or portioned pieces) in a baking dish, season with salt and pepper.

8. Spread the cheese-spinach mixture evenly over the surface of each piece.

9. Send the workpiece to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes, until the cheese crust forms a golden brown (focus on the features of your oven).

10. Fish baked with cheese and spinach is ready. Serve hot with fresh herbs and vegetables.
